Geocache Description:

Geodes' ninth cache is one of a series that takes in some of the cute little parks around the Box Hill area of eastern Melbourne

For quite a few years, I was in the habit of turning left into Elgar Rd just near this park and, as I looked to the right to check for traffic, I could see this attractive looking area of bushy parkland but, if it wasn't for geocaching, I would probably still be no wiser as to its extent or other attributes. Now that I have inspected it, I'm a little surprised that it is so small - just a patch of remnant bush within a wider park of grass and exotic trees.

The posted coordinates should find you in a parking area just near a cute little playground with a tropical sort of theme to it. To get the final coordinates, you will have to find out -

  1. How many crocodiles there are? = A
    and
  2. How many palm trees there are? = B

The cache can be located a short distance away at -

S 37° 48.2(A+3)9 E 145° 07.5(B+1)9

It contains clues for the puzzle cache -

If it wasn't for ...

The clue is a separate bit of card in the logbook bag - don't forget to get the info from it and please remember to replace it along with the log. Other caches in the series are located not more than a few kilometres away. They are -

Leafy Stroll
Grassy Meander and
Surrey Dive

The cache is a 200ml Sistema container. It should be an easy find.

Good Luck!
