Geocache Description:




On February 22 1983 a bomb hidden in a briefcase exploded inside the Stockholm Tax Office building. The explosion killed one employee and destroyed the entire 7th floor of the buidling. The bombing was the third in a series against the authorities that occured in 1982-1983. From early on in the investigation the police turned their attention to a man who had been involved in several bankruptcies and was driven by a strong hatred against Swedish authorities.

This man, who later became known as "Bombmannen", was friends with the prime suspect in the assassination of Olof Palme, whom he had met when serving a prison sentence. According to some theories he might even have been responsible for the planning of the murder.
