I'd certainly recommend at least gathering the information required for this cache while in the area, although the final is NOT on the route back to the car park.

I'd advise adding this multi to the tour, which completes the walk that was a favourite of Thomas Hardy and Miss Emma Gifford. Be sure to see the stunning Thomas Hardy memorial window.

This detour will add approximately 0.7 miles to the circuit.

Valency Valley

CHURCH MICRO 10065 St Julitta

A circular walk of around 8.5 miles starting from the car park in Boscastle (Charges apply).

A walk along the Valency Valley towards St Juliots church (a small diversion to the church itself), and then through the hamlet of Lesnewth via St Michaels church and an old disused quarry, and finally back towards Boscastle affording great views towards Lundy Island and down onto the village.
