Managed to do a lightning strike in grabbing the TBs (and they were fun spots where I grabbed them from) and teamed up with Freddo and we both met Locus Cache for the first time.
Had some fun with the key afterwards, meeting Firesafe's and Huurtle's boss/colleagues in the process.
Even learnt some shortcuts with UV light.

"The Black Box"

After solving and a rough plot I knew exactly where it would be. A fun walk with Winterdragon out to GZ and it was exactly where it I thought it would be (even though I had to convice Winterdragon not to bother checking the coordinates with where I led him).
Always nice to come for a walk out to this area.

A Reel Hot Connection

Reel™ - A Hot Connection

An amazing walk up the hill, awesome views and a fun find. Doing it as a family and with friends made it even more memorable and an easy inclusion in my list for 2012.
Heading up Glen Osmond Road I often look up at the hill and reminisce.
A cache that could easily be on a bucket list for Adelaide.

Acquainted with the Night

The name says it all. Such an awesome spot to visit. You don't want to rush your visit either; just sit and enjoy the magnificent view.
Also adding to the experience, was a photo of the view (from the 50's or older) hanging in the unit that we hired for our trip to Apollo Bay.

Awesome

So many great caches in this area, but in trying to cull my list I decided that I should keep this one from the area (but all in the area are wonderful caches).
This one is extra special as it is a great point to walk out to, and such an old placement.

Bill's Bones

Just made my top 25 caches for 2012 list by being the most Southern cache we've found. Nice to find an old cache in such a beautiful setting, but it was sad that it had been unloved and was full of water.

Cache Otway

A location I've known about for ages, but it is such an intriguing place to visit and view. Would love to see it working one day. The cache was a great hide, and I was pleased to find it after DNF'ing it at lunchtime (and prior to a hint update). 

Carpark Cache

A tough multi, but one that should be done by all cachers going through Melbourne. An awesome walk to an area I would never have visited except for caching, and an easy inclusion into my 2012 finds list.

Count The Cars

My first night cache and it was an awesome walk.
Made even better as I had Robmc along, and kept me from straying at a couple of points.
A very peaceful night to do the walk even if it was a little cold.
Such a different feel to a visit I'd made during the day time.

Diver at Night

Even though GZ had Satan Spawn, this was such a fun cache to do. Can't believe I had trouble with the numbers at the first WP, but it is such a neat concept, and suprisingly I only worked out it when I started thinking of a similar concept. Doh.
A must cache to do when in Melbourne.

Dog-gone  Seeking Heaven in Willy

A fun underground cache. A neat second waypoint, which is tempting to use for TB's rather than the final. Did it with poor lighting and alone. Would've kept walking further in, but the darkness and solitude beat me back.

Draining

A great swim out to GZ with Freddo. Also neat to have Winterdragon come along, and a newbie who bumped into the party at the right time.
Thankfully no fish seen. We even got a visit from the Life Savers who were cruising past in their rib boat.

Fishing for Red Herrings

Just made it onto the list, as this became our furthest FTF from home.
Quite neat that we had a tent set up for youth work metres from GZ, and I was just lucky enough to log in to check emails to find it had been published.
Found it with a few others giving them an intro to geocaching.
Pt. Vincent is such a lovely spot too to visit.

Get Hooked

Such a great spot to visit in Melbourne.
My visit was made even more memorable after striking up a conversation with some muggles that were also enjoying the view at the start.

Leading Lights

I had to include a LPT cache in my list of 2012, as it is a fantastic series of caches, and I decided that I liked this one the most as I had to walk furthest for it. It is also a lovely area to visit, and a fun little hide.
Even stumbled upon my first munzee in the process of finding it.

Lets Follow LPT 23 - Flood Planes

Such a great multi and beautiful ending.
I had to make an exception to including an archived cache in my list. It is a shame cachers miss out here now, although the cache never got many visitors anyway (which is a bigger shame). However there is a replacement multi worth doing (and which I'm sure will make by 2013 list).

Library Treasures

An awesome series of caches put out by Mtn_Lioness for Charles Sturt Council.
Had to include at least one cache in my list (and it was hard picking one), but this one was included, as it was fun stumbling upon the cache prior to publication as I was going to use the area for a cache. An agonising wait for it to be published so I could claim FTF too.

Netherton (A former Councillor)

Had to include a Seascout cache in my list, as I enjoyed all the littoral caches put out by her (and I love using the word littoral).
Enjoyed the journey here with Cal, and it was nice sending him over whilst I sat and enjoyed the view. We never grow tired of enjoying sea views.

Nomads by the Seaside 

Solved this many years ago, but in doing so had an epiphany about cipher puzzles in Adelaide. A lovely spot to visit at night on a pleasant evening, and it would be a nice spot during the daylight hours too.

A wondeful location that I only found by doing a cache before visiting a cousin that lived nearby. I enjoyed strolling around the area (as I was running early), and the cache was hidden nicely too.

Suburban backyard

A collection of the top 25 caches I enjoyed finding in 2012. The journey, company, experience and location play a part in the ones that I select.
It was a tough job as I found almost 400 in 2012, and had to leave out quite a few I enjoyed.
