Kentucky Covered Bridges
Public
Covered bridges are symbols of America's past and not many are left in Kentucky. Thirteen to be exact when geocaching started but now stands at 11, with Valley Pike bridge torn down after flooding in April 2018 and Mt Zion bridge destroyed by arson in March 2021. Several other bridges have been damaged by flooding and are in various state of restoration. For each biodge, the current cache placements are listed. ==================== For a narrative of the remaining KY covered bridges, please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_covered_bridges_in_Kentucky#:~:text=There%20are%20eleven%20surviving%20authentic,and%20they%20are%20all%20historic.
