You get a GREAT walk on a trail with a ridiculous view, a handful of other caches along the way and a quiet spot to search.  Then you get hit with brilliant camouflage.  BAM!  You just had fun.  Admit it.

Don't let the advertised cache size fool you.  You can park a Volkswagen in this cache.  

52 Pick Up: Jack of Clubs

I wouldn't normally, but this one's a sop to the girls.  The swag and container insides were both pretty epic (if you're a girly girl).  Boys, bring a stick or tongs or something to extract the log.

It's all about the swag.  This container is large enough to host some ginormous swag.  Do it.  You know you wanna.

Aunt Flow

On the list not because it is mine (it ain't- the credit goes to fancifully handful, from whom I adopted BOLD), but because of the great camo job that has survived 70-100 visits in a muggle-prone area.

BOLD

Gotta love this one.  I add it because of the view, coordinate accuracy (spot on!) and even despite the fact that it is a lotrat cache.  [;)]

El Salto - Carlsbad

This one has history, character, a great walk, and a killer view.  This was placed January 31, 2001!  How's that for vintage?

Hill Of The Skull

I'm not as comfy with neighborhood hides as some, but at least this one's coordinates puts you on top of the cache and not on top of the neighbor's dog!

La Paloma Loca

The Alleghenian's caches get a little over-recommended by me, but only because they are always:
1.) Present and accounted for
2.) Spot on the coordinates

Coordinates for this one were spot on.  This is the definition of a cache-n-dash.  And with microswag, too!

ONE WAY

What can I say, I am a sucker for the beach!  If you are going to be exposed, why not make it to the elements?  Yes, you have to be careful of muggles but there's no dicey property lines, tracks, schools or suspicion...everybody plays around on the rocks at the beach!

Ponto Beach

This one is near houses and in a little neighborhood park- and it is the perfect illustration of how to hide a cache near it all and yet nowhere threatening.  Bring the family, drop off the kids 150' away and go hunt.  You'll see.  Good times.

Scott Valley Cache

Lookielulu gives you a little guy to search for who is so highly camo'd it took me 30 minutes to track this guy down and it really was quite accessible.  There have been a few DNFs logged, though I suspect many more should have been.  It's a good location that could use some CITO, but the debris will not affect your hunt.  Also: there is some coordinate bounce up here.  I found the cache ~12' NW of my GZ.

Strolling the Switchbacks

Parking is close and on a trailhead that you want to explore, but that has nothing to do with the cache.  Just when you think "whiskey tango..." you find yourself in a secret spot.  If your timing is right, you might catch a greenside view of a great putt.

Did I mention this one is devilishly hard to find?

THE JOGGER

Ah the camo that not only perplexes, but gives a chuckle as well.  I love the two-fer!

Veg Out

This one has two things going for it: 
1.) Guajome Park - Lots of caching to be done here.
2.) Lookielulu - Legendary camouflage.
I would call this one of the more exposed caches in the park, which is to say you should have a really good time caching Guajome.  Enjoy your quiet searching...
