Arrgghhh. I had the solution straight away and made a simple error so Evince said I was wrong. Off on many tangents over a period of weeks before going back to the first idea (its sad to think I'm starting to think like Z) and I spotted my error and got a correct answer.
A month after solving I was still able to claim FTF although just.
The first DNF was from misinterpretting the hint (maybe I don't think like Z all the time) and looking in a spot with many hiding spots and only a few things to hang on to. Also the drama after logging and getting back to the car all added up to make this one of my favourite caches for the year.

Alternative to plus is minus

What a great way to locate a cache.
Sit with a wonderful view of Adelaide and play "I Spy" (so to speak).
Probably a little cool on our visit but still great.
Bek and I enjoyed the wander over to the lovely little area to grab the cache. It should be muggled regularly, but sadly most muggles ignore this great little spot and so thankfully it survives easily.
Also had a bit of fun with Mrs C and Cal when we got back to the car spinning a tale.

Animal, Vegetable or Mineral?

Really enjoyed the end point as I went past the spot a couple of times a week in 1986. The name worked so well.
Possibly a surprise inclusion to others.

CASablanchor

Well the puzzle fell out quite easily after thinking about the hint. The final location was great to do at night in the company of Freddo. A great little spot to sit and watch the stars. A pity most will miss out on a location I rate quite highly.

Cipher Titanium

Having a cache at the Bek and Cal's favourite plaground is a good start. A brilliant camo job makes it even better.
No trip to the playground is complete without somebody getting locked in the brig on the pirate ship.

Come Sail With Me

A neat little puzzle. I thought it was difficult at the beginning, but after not looking at it for a few weeks solved it quickly when I looked again at it. Doh!.
A great little lunch time walk with great views of the city on the way. Surprised there wasn't a cache near the seat I passed on the way.
A fun little area to search in, and thankfully not perilous.

Faulty Numbers?

This was a great journey, and its sad not more do it.
Enjoyed taking the kids along to the various historical spots and they enjoyed the playground nearby at the end, along with the walk up the hill.

Federation Trail

What a fantastic area, and thanks for finally bringing me here.
I stopped with a high tide, and came back to show Mrs C and the kids when it was low tide. It is such a difference. A spot that needs to be visited more than once to fully appreciate.

Find and Sign Port Mangroves

I really enjoyed being able to do this as a lunch time run starting off at the Old Spot Hotel. Had to do the run twice as I spent ages searching on the first visit. Found it immediately on the second, after having done almost 200 caches in between. A top spot with some great views along the way.

This was fun for the online journey and the cachers I met alone the way that assisted to get all the information.
A fun little walk and jump to get to the cache too.

Frequent Flier

Could have picked any number of the caches that Sandy and I did on our walk up to Cleland from Waterfall Gully. We haven't been able to go walking like we used to, so it was great to be able to get out for a morning without the kids and enjoy a walk and grab a few caches. This one is neat because you can actually find a little old trail to follow, although the trail is easier to find on the return and on the trip over.

I know tricks

Wow. What a great cache first up.
A nice area and a terrific hide. Had me beat on my first go (and I'm not alone). Found the hidden area that I missed on my second go. Hope they place more.

I left the tavern in a days

The puzzle was something new to do and also fun (the decoding to coordinates afterwards - well we got there in the end [:)]). The location is really nice and quite a lot of fun to get to. What I enjoyed the most was finding a cache that hadn't been found for 14 months. It had become part of the environment with an ecology system living on the lid. Had to take care just to keep the ecology intact.

Lesser Geocaching Shuffle

A great piece of camouflage.
One just needs to take the time to look rather than searching with hands. A great example of thought and effort put into a hide.

More Tar

Working down the road for over a decade I never realised what a beautiful spot this park is. The cache finally brought me here and I enjoyed a great lunch time run out it. I made it longer than necessary by transcribing a digit wrong, but it helped me see all the beauty throughout the park.

Paddocks Wetlands

Have been looking forward to a long long time to do this cache and also get it off my close to work list.
It was disappointing and it was just dry enough after recent rains that I could do it and not get muddy.
A fun little spot to stand too and log a cache.

Slipstream

It is such a neat little puzzle. Quite elegant and beautiful.
GZ is nice, and the find made more pleasant because it had been unloved for 8 months.

Spotty

This makes my favourite list as it was a really memorable walk that I took the kids on. We managed to make it down the very steep track although Bek was always wanting to run.
Ended up in a spot thinking the cache may be there, but ended up having to help the kids make a small climb to get to the real GZ. Although the kids had trouble with the climb that fitted a lot easier than me through the gaps to the top. It was also fun being able to be evil here too by leaving Freddo's Solice geocoin.

The BatCache

The best view out. Could sit here for hours and just admire the view.
A great little walk around the bay from the hotel we were staying at too, and a glorious night that I did the walk.
Also a great little hide and a neat little cache. Surprised I found it (I'm dreadful at finding caches sometimes), given the number of cachers that don't, but the coords were spot on for me.
A real highlight in 2008 and easily selected in my top 20.

Tower Bridge

Have to include a cache from Griffith in my favourites for the year, since my Mum was born here in 1924. Only visited for the first time in April 2005 and took a picture of Bek under the plane. Passing through again had to stop and try to recreate that photo with Bek and Cal (Mrs C was pregnant with Cal in 2005).
All our future trips across to Sydney will now include Griffith (can't believe we never went that way before), and then continue down the Burley Griffen Way.

It was a tought job getting a list of 200+ down to 20. I had hoped to make it a top 10, but it was getting really hard to pick and choose.
