The Lincoln Park Zoo was founded in 1868 making it one of the oldest zoos in North America. It is also one of only a handful of free admission zoos in the United States. The zoo, which is open 365 days a year, is a Chicago treasure and wonderful place to spend an afternoon. You will need to enter the zoo to find this virtual so please check the hours before visiting so you are not disappointed.
Requirements to log this virtual:
1. Go to the posted coordinates and send me an email or message describing the unique object.
AND
2. Now that you are in the zoo take a photo of yourself with any one of the ~1,100 animals that call the zoo home and post it with your log. This picture
must include one of the following:
- A living zoo animal, AND
- You (if you are shy your hand giving the thumbs up will suffice), OR
- Your caching device (smart phone or GPSr)
Your face does not need to be visible.
