The 2nd Cache In Trash Out Event week for 2018 is scheduled to occur between the 15th & 23rd September.
Well we have now held a few CITO's out here over the past couple of years, and since they have usually been well recieved, thought that we may as well have another one. OK - it has also been awhile since I have organised one too. It is just a casual easy walk along the beach, collecting the floatsam and rubbish we find along the way. It also provides geocachers with an opportunity to catch up and discuss all things caching, (and in this case an opportunity for locals who can not make the other local CITO on the 16th - GC7WW8H Spring CITO 2018) and grab the 2nd CITO souviner for 2018
... whilst at the same time, doing our little bit in helping to keep a little bit of our coastline clean.
Date Sunday 23th September 2018
We will start at 9:00am at the southern car park at Illawong (Far) Beach (listed coordinates).
And as per CITO event guidelines, the event will go for a minimum of 1 hour till at least 10:00am , but as with previous events, it will probably go for a bit longer, (excluding any consulting that may occur pre and post event).
So, bring some bags, gloves, water and a hat, then we will go for a liesurely stroll along the beach,
& I'll look after the correct disposal of what ever we collect.
