Geocache Description:

A mystery in Sydney's very own Roswell - a little piece of wilderness called Berowra

..

There is no cache at the listed coordinates - what is there is far, far more important.

Publicly, this complex has been made to look like the district fire control centre. It even has an authentic insignia on the front for all to see. But curiously, you'll never see any fire vehicles there; just dark 4WDs with blacked-out windows. This is the top-secret Northern Incursion Monitoring Post (NORIMP), a purpose built facility for the detection of interdimensional alien movements (IAMs).

Scientists have long suspected the existence of a micro-humanoid race on the planet Mars. It is rumoured that centuries ago, the Martians discovered an astonishing crystal matrix technology harnessing the little-understood temporal refraction phenomena of certain rare Martian minerals. Experts conclude that the discovery led them to the development of crystal-coated transportal craft that channel the four dimensions.

NASA sent two robotic missions to Mars in 2003 to observe, and attempt to contact, the alien neighbours. However, they failed to detect any trace of the planet’s inhabitants. It is now believed that, at the first warning of approaching earth craft, these technologically-advanced transdimensional tetradactyl time travellers elude detection by simply “hopping” to a different coordinate in spacetime. It is very likely that they even jump to secret locations on our own planet.

Sensitive NORIMP instruments have detected several near-field disturbances indicative of close proximity geo-temporal acquisitions by alien craft. Only moments earlier, a remote electronic eavesdropping station intercepted a burst of transmissions emanating from a void within the solar system. Hi-resolution blue-shift techniques date the transmissions to January 2004. Using a 3D array of supercomputing cores, analysts extracted an image, thought to be of something like a page from an atlas of interplanetary bases. Despite applying the most advanced tools available, the extraction of any useful locational data continues to defy all efforts.

In a desperate and unprecedented bid to locate alien landing bases, authorities have released copies of the intercepted transmission and are pleading for anyone with well-developed analytical and explorational skills to apply their talents to this exhaustive search and report back with detailed findings.
