W1NG: This cache and several other caches along the Larkin State Park Trail are not accessible at this time due to the damage that was cause during the severe rain storm of August 18, 2024. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environment Protection (DEEP) has closed the trail in this area until further notice. It is rumored that the State will repair the Trail but that may not happen until some time in 2025 or even 2026.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO ACCESS ANY CACHES ALONG THE CLOSED PORTIONS OF THE TRAIL. IT COULD JEOPARDIZE THIS AND OTHER CACHES IN THE FUTURE.
I am committed to re-activating, repairing and to reestablishing these caches when access to these caches is permitted.
