훈민정음
조선 초기 세종대왕이 지은 책의 제목이다. 훈민정음은 백성을 가르치는 바른 소리라는 뜻이다. 그 책에서 해설하고 있는 훗날 한글로 불리게 된 한국어의 표기 문자 체계를 말한다. 오늘날 남아있는 훈민정음의 판본 가운데 하나인 '훈민정음 해례본'은 유네스코 세계기록유산과 대한민국 국보로 지정되어 있다.
훈민정음은 만든 사람과 만든 의도 그리고 만든 시기가 분명히 알려져있는 세계에서 유일한 글자이다.

만든 사람
세종대왕 (1397년 5월 7일 ~1450년 3월 30일). 조선의 제4대임금으로서 백성들을 진정으로 사랑하고 아껴준 임금으로서 한국인이 가장 사랑하는 왕중의 한명이다. 언어학, 음악, 법학, 공학, 철학, 경제학, 천문학, 군사, 농업 분야에 많은 업적을 남김.

만든 의도
세종대왕은 백성을 매우 사랑하였다. 당시에는 중국글자인 한자를 사용하였는데 일반 백성들은 배우기 매우 어려웠다. 일반 백성들도 쉽게 글자를 배워서 일상 생활에서 편리하게 쓰기 위함이다.
만든 시기
1443년12월 만들고 1446년9월 반포함.

Hunminjeongeum
It is the title of the book which King Sejong the early Joseon made. Hunminjeongeum means the right voice to teach the people. It refers to the system of notation of the Korean language that was later described in the book as Hangul. One of the remaining versions of the Hunminjeongjeon, "Hunminjeongeum ryambonbon" is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Treasure of the Republic of Korea.
Hunminjeongeum ryambonbon is the only letter in the world that is clearly known for its maker, its intentions and the time of its creation.

King Sejong the Great (May 7, 1397 - March 30, 1450). As the fourth king of Joseon, he is one of the kings most loved by Koreans as the king who truly loved and saved the people. He has made many achievements in linguistics, music, law, engineering, philosophy, economics, astronomy, military, and agriculture.

Intention created
King Sejong greatly loved the people. At that time, Chinese characters were used in Joseon. General people were very difficult to learn letters. He created Hunminjeongeum which people can learn and use easily in daily life.

Created in December 1443 and published in September 1446

How to log
After performing the mission below, you can leave a log. Logs that do not perform a mission will be deleted after 72 hours.
- Move back to the statue in coordinates. There is an entrance to the 'Sejong Story Exhibition Hall'.
- Go inside the exhibition hall and find '셰종어졔훈민졍음' and '훈민정음 반포도' on the wall. Both are next to each other.
- Please send a picture of 'your GPS or you in front of the works' to me by message on my profile. You may log as ‘Found’
- Take a picture of King Sejong's statue. (This task is optional, but I would highly appreciate it if you do so.)
You or your GPS must be accompanied on a photograph. Edited photos will not be accepted.Logs without a mission can be deleted after 72 hours.
