Zusammenfassung:
Dieser Cache ist mein „Virtual Award“ und führt euch zur längsten Hängeseilbrücke der Welt (leider nur von August 2017 bis Mai 2021). Da alle meine Caches Namen haben, trifft es sich gut, dass diese Brücke nach ihrem Hauptsponsor Charles Kuonen benannt ist. Ich liebe Wandern und Höhen und dies verbindet der Cache grandios miteinander.
Die Brücke ist nicht mit dem Auto oder anderen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar. Der kürzeste Wanderweg führt von Randa aus, ist ziemlich steil und dauert mindestens 2 Stunden. Der Zugang ist kostenlos.
Achtung: Die Brücke ist nur in den Monaten Juni bis November geöffnet!
Um diesen Cache zu loggen, muss man vor Ort gewesen sein und alle beide Logbedingungen erfüllen. Logeinträge, die die 2 Logbedingungen nicht komplett erfüllen, werden kommentarlos gelöscht. Das soll schließlich kein weiterer "Couch-Potato-Virtual" werden...
CHARLES KOUNEN HÄNGEBRÜCKE
Nirgendwo gibt es 2018 eine längere Hängebrücke als jene oberhalb von Randa. Auf fast 500 Metern können Fußgänger auf Trittgittern über das Tal der Destination Zermatt-Matterhorn wandern.
Die Charles Kounen Hängebrücke vervollständigt den Europaweg von Grächen nach Zermatt, den manche für die schönste Zweitages-Wanderung in den Alpen halten. Wer den gesamten Weg zurücklegt, kommt in den Genuss von Aussichten auf das Matterhorn, das Weisshorn und die Berner Alpen. Die Hängebrücke kann zu Fuß aber auch ab Randa erreicht werden.
Die längste Fußgänger-Hängebrücke der Welt ist fast 500 Meter Meter lang und überspannt das Grabengufer vom Lärchberg auf das Höüschbiel; am höchsten Punkt 85 m über dem Boden. Der Zugang ist gratis und gewährt Nervenkitzel, denn Fußgänger schreiten auf Trittgittern, durch die sie den Boden sehen.

Ø Erreichbarkeit der Brücke:
o Zu Fuß ab Randa: 2 – 2,5 Stunden

o Zu Fuß ab Zermatt: 6 – 7 Stunden Wanderzeit
Ø Öffnungszeit: Juni bis November. Bei Gewitter (Blitzschlag) ist die Überquerung zu vermeiden.
Ø Für die Überquerung ist es von Vorteil, schwindelfrei zu sein.

Um diesen Cache online zu loggen, musst du die 2 folgenden Aufgaben erfüllen:
1. Gehe zu den angegebenen Koordinaten AUF der Brücke. Dort findest du ein etwa 12 cm x 7 cm großes Metallschild, auf dem der Name des Sponsors steht, der diesen Meter gestiftet hat. Schreibe mir eine Mail mit dem Namen dieser Sponsoren an: Simmonella@aol.com
Bitte keine Bilder von dem Schild hochladen!!!
2. Mache ein Foto von dir mit dem Victory-Zeichen auf der Brücke, wobei hier dein V auch für „Virtual“steht.
oder: Alternativ kannst du auch irgendein Tier mit der Brücke fotografieren. Es muss kein echtes Tier sein, ein Plüschtier, ein gemaltes Tier, ein TB-Tier oder sonst was reicht vollkommen. Deiner Fantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.
Nur eine kleine Bitte: Ladet keine Bilder hoch, die nur eure GPS-Geräte oder Smartphones zeigen. Die sind einfach schrecklich langweilig.

This cache ist my „Virtual Award“ and takes you to the longest suspension bridge in the world (August 2017 - May 2021). I love hiking and heights and this cache perfectly combines both.
You can’t go there by car or other public transport. The shortest walk is from Randa and it takes more than 2 hours up. Entry is free.
Attention: The bridge is open in the months of June until November!
To log this cache, you have to be there and have to fulfill the 2 conditions before you sign the logbook online. Logs not meeting the full 2 requirements will be deleted. I did not want to create another "Couch Potato Virtual", after all...
THE CHARLES KUONEN SUSPENSION BRIDGE
A pedestian suspension bridge longer than that in Randa is nowhere to be found. At almost 500 metres long, walkers und hikers can cross over the valley oh the Zermatt-Matterhorn destination on a walkway.
The Charles Kounen suspension bridge completes the Europaweg from Grächen to Zermatt. Many people consider this to be the most beautiful two-day hike in the Alps. If one covers the entire trail, one enjoys views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn and the Bernese Alps. The suspension bridge can also be reached by foot from Randa.
The longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world is almost 500 m long and traverses the Grabengufer of the Lärchberg on the Höüschbiel and is 85 m above the valley at its highest point. 2. Take a picture of yourself on the bridge and perform the victory sign with your fingers. It means: “Victory”, “Virtual” and "Valais".
or: If you don’t want to take a photo with you, you can alternatively take a photo with an animal and the bridge. It does’nt matter what kind of animal. It can also be a soft toy, a drawn animal, an animal-TB or something else. Be creative! But the bridge have to be on the picture too!
But please, please: Do not post any pictures that only show your GPS Device or Smartphone. This is terribly boring!
