Last year we fell in love with the English public footpaths, which we visited both in May and August, and only a few days after returning from our August trip, we started planning another geocaching tour to the UK to take place in August of 2010. The main goals of this third trip should be circular geocaching series around Reading, Eastbourne and Crawley. Neither of us are keen on the idea of driving in the "wrong" side of the road, so we had to plan our transport carefully. Luckily we managed to find a good combination of train and bus connections as well as a little bit of taxi driving. This enabled us to get close enough to many great footpaths (and geocaching series). This kind of geocaching does not provide any "drive-by's" and thus we walked more than 300 km during our 11 days trip, but that is exactly the way we like it!
On day two of our trip we took the train to Midgham and made a 36 km round trip consisting of most of the MWW caches, most of the Skylars Walk circle as well as the full Julie's Jaunt series. Unfortunately we did not have time to visit all caches in the three series, as we had to catch a train back to Reading in the evening. This cache was found at 13:13. It happened to become a mini milestone for us: Our find no. 9200
Thanks for the cache!
