Found it colincactus found Is the river coming to get you?

Saturday, February 4, 2017Southern England, United Kingdom

I fancied getting an earth cache today for my 3005th overall find. A funny landmark you might think, however within those finds there are five lab caches so according to Project-GC this would be my 3000th find.

I used to live in Blackwater in the 1980s so I know this river and its meadow very well. Lots of ducks here today and a couple of swans as well. With the recent rain the river level was high, but this morning the weather was fine. I estimated the water level and came up with some answers for all of the questions. I also took some photos to prove that I was here.

I've sent an email with my answers so I am now logging a find.

infoAn Earthcache is an educational form of a virtual cache. The reward for these caches is learning more about the planet on which we live - its landscapes, its geology or the minerals and fossils that are found there. Many Earthcaches are in National Parks. Some are multi-cache in form, and some have a physical log book located in or close to a Visitor Center. Earthcaches are developed in association with the Geological Society of America.
