Webcam Photo Taken Biertje took a webcam photo at Layton Hills Webcam Cache

Saturday, 07 September 2019Utah

With Brain & Pinky, Eikenhofjes and Xizat I travelled 11 days through the USA to find some very old caches. On our 8th day we did a series of 'Gate caches' along Frontage Road and we drove to Provo for some Challenges.
On the way to Provo we stopped for two webcam caches. The second was in Layton. After we had parked the car, it took us a long time to cross the (long) pedestrian crossing. We had to wait also a long time until the webcam image was refreshed and it was clear that we were in the picture.

Thanks and cheers!

infoA Webcam "cache" are caches that use existing web cameras placed by individuals or agencies that monitor various areas like parks or road conditions. The idea is to get yourself in front of the camera to log your visit. The challenging part, however, it that you need to call a friend to look up the web site that displays the camera shot. You will need to have them to save the picture to log the cache. You could also use your wireless modem or cell phoneand save the image yourself on your laptop. Webcam caches are now in the Web Camera category on Waymarking.com
