Found it Biertje found Pony Express #201 - Woodford's - California

Monday, 09 September 2019Utah

With Brain & Pinky, Eikenhofjes and Xizat I travelled 11 days through the USA to find some very old caches. On our 10th day we did a series of Challenge caches, we did a part of the Pony Express trail and we drove to Salt Lake City for our own Dutch Meet & Greet event.

At the Pony Beer cache we left the Utah State Highway 36 and started the Pony Express trail. It consisted of 298 caches along the Pony Express Road, but we only did a part. We started at #128 and drove along the dirt road in a westerly direction to #268. It was pretty hot, but we had a full gas tank and enough water, coke and orange juice with us. The drivers had changed, so Xizat was now behind the wheel. Brain and I looked for the caches and Eikenhofjes stamped the log rolls. The search went well. Occasionally I found the cache and at the same time Brain saw a second (replacement) cache. Once there were also two tubes next to each other under a stone.

Thanks and cheers!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
