Found it Biertje found Lookout Pass Pet Cemetery

Monday, 09 September 2019Utah

With Brain & Pinky, Eikenhofjes and Xizat I travelled 11 days through the USA to find some very old caches. On our 10th day we did a series of Challenge caches, we did a part of the Pony Express trail and we drove to Salt Lake City for our own Dutch Meet & Greet event.

During the Pony Express trail we also stopped for a few special caches, such as this virtual cache from 2002. We searched for a long time for the secret 4 letter word, until we realized that the metal kiosk box should have disappeared. We took photos and later also put our stamp in the visitor's book at the parking lot.

Thanks and cheers!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
