I moved the car to a nearby layby, and met a couple of cachers here - The Spanners from Bristol. After a quick chat I set off to the get the cache, but then noticed a dog walking muggle about 30 metres behind. As she was on her own I thought it might scare her if I turned around or waited for her to pass, so I diverted off around the field. Unfortunately for every way I went it turned out that was the way she was going anyway. I ended up walking about a kilometre further than I needed to. I finally got back onto the right path and thankfully it was an easy find.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
