Out and about with my good mate WhiteFriar on an absolutely glorious day - blue skies and sunshine! Mind you, it was a little chilly at times, particularly when you caught the wind (the notorious 'lazy' breeze - it goes straight through you instead of going round!). Very much a cache-n-dash day, in part because of the weather and also to hoover up the many puzzles solved but not collected. Also on the agenda were a number of challenge caches and, inevitably, all the new Church Micros that have popped up since our last visit. It was also, as it turned out, a very JazzyJessups day, though it had not been planned that way and we did manage a few caches by other owners.
We started the day with a 1/1 and finished it with a 5/5, which was pleasing. Managed a 5/1 along the way to make three corners of the grid! (Though no doubt there's somebody out there that's managed all four in a day.) On the numbers front I was pleased to pass 800 unknowns and thus gain my Sapphire badge. Mind you, I still need nearly another two hundred to qualify for "Mystery Cache Challenge" http://coord.info/GC38TTV and a further three hundred for my Emerald badge. I guess I'll get there eventually.
Most finds were straightforward, though a few put up a bit of a fight and just one we failed to find. Was glad I had WhiteFriar along as, although I am not particularly vertically challenged, his extra three inches made all the difference quite a number of times. Even so, there was the one occasion where combined tactics were required to retrieve a particularly high placed cache. It all adds to the fun....
