Found it Biertje found Rhyolitic Wonder

Monday, 09 September 2019Utah

With Brain & Pinky, Eikenhofjes and Xizat I travelled 11 days through the USA to find some very old caches. On our 10th day we did a series of Challenge caches, we did a part of the Pony Express trail and we drove to Salt Lake City for our own Dutch Meet & Greet event.

This series was along a dirt road that ran parallel to the railroad. Together with Xizat I searched the 19 different caches. The road stopped at # 18. We got out and divided the tasks. I climbed the hill for # 19, Brain walked to the traditional cache No More Animal Tracks, and Eikenhofjes and Xizat chose the earth cache. Here we all came together and discussed the different stone types and colors. We also took some pictures.

Thanks and cheers!

infoAn Earthcache is an educational form of a virtual cache. The reward for these caches is learning more about the planet on which we live - its landscapes, its geology or the minerals and fossils that are found there. Many Earthcaches are in National Parks. Some are multi-cache in form, and some have a physical log book located in or close to a Visitor Center. Earthcaches are developed in association with the Geological Society of America.
