Found it m4nTiSke & Helga <3 found Mystery längs 26:an #46

Saturday, 26 May 2018Värmland, Sweden

Last year I joined Flasharry for my first ÖVVE. We found about 50 caches and had FTF on 5 of them. But above all we had much fun. So much fun that, as soon as a date was set for this years ÖVVE, it was quickly decided to go to this one.
Flashes daughter joined us this morning in our quest for caches and hopefully some FTF’s.
To our surprise the parking lot, where the event started last year, was almost completely empty!
Did they already start?
There was a woman in a car. Turned out to be Hatlenkarlsson and she also was hoping to find other cachers here.
After a quick phone call to MrZaibot, it turned out that the procedure had changed a bit. If this really is a better way... I’ll leave that in the middle. 😉

While downloading the new caches we all thought it would be great if Hatlenkarlsson would join us in our quest for caches and FTF’s.
Once in the car we quickly decided to head for a trail of caches in Brattfors. Hoping no one else had the same idea.
The first cache quickly proved us wrong.
A bit further up the road we ran into Kassoren and another cacher by the name of m.g.l.
As there still were plenty of unfound caches on the trail, we decided to team up and go for them.
Our teamname was Solaren as it would take to long if we would all log separately. We kept that name almost the entire day.

After the trail we went for a nano in Filipstad. One on a rock in the water.
It turned out to be no problem at all as Kassoren magically popped out his inflatable kayak.

So, what now?
Hatlenkarlsson seemed to be keen on getting some of the new mysteries along the 26. So we went that way and managed to get more FTF’s then we had hoped for.
Some we found by brute force and logical thinking, but for a lot of them I have to thank Hatlenkarlsson and Karo6 for an excellent job on solving the mysteries!

After a long and very hot afternoon we went to the closing event where we met up with the rest of the cachers.
While there we got invited to go for an older cache by the name of Mission Impossible. A tree climb cache.

And after doing that one, Hatlenkarlsson surprised us by telling us she had solved 2 more mysteries. Speaks for itself we went for them.

After getting those it was time to head back home and said goodbye to our unsuspected co-cachers Hatlenkarlsson.

Tired but very satisfied we arrived back in Karlstad. We found over 30 caches today and most of them had given us an FTF.

A big thanks to all the cachers who made this day possible and all of those who joined our team today!!

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
