Out and about with my good mate WhiteFriar on a rather grey day. On Sunday the forecast had looked very reasonably but by Monday night the Met Office had changed their minds and were predicting rain. In the event we suffered only a little drizzle and counted ourselves lucky. Another very mixed day, picking up (more or less) where we finished off last week. Inevitably we continue to pick up Church Micros and Challenges that we qualify for. To this we were able to add a few 'Large' caches (of which there are nowhere near enough), a couple of Wherigos (the two best caches of the day), a couple of caches to help qualify for a challenge http://coord.info/GC4530W and a couple of extras (just because they were there). Three DNFs over the day was dis-pleasing, even if they do prove to be missing, which we strongly suspect. However, the good easily transcended the bad and we counted it a damn good day.
9th cache of the day. I knew I was qualified for this as soon as I saw the challenge, so it was just a question of by how much when I eventually managed to be in the area to collect it. See my web page http://www.15ddv.me.uk/geo/chal/thebuttonmushroom_challenges.html#01 for a snapshot of my worth at the exact moment I found this cache. I am very pleased to find I join (as does WhiteFriar) the select group of millionaires with a total worth of £1,154,700. At GZ the GPS dithered a bit but it did not take us long to find the cache and sign the log.
