Dropped my favorite geocoin - the biggest I ever found! The Initial Point GC. Good they had some regular caches here.... hard to find in the USA. Haha, as I went home to the apartment, the coin was already grabbed by the next finder. Wouldn't have expected that, as it was getting dark already... Well done! And TFTCM!

Was after the Optical Illusion Geocoin! ... and grabbed a few others to take onto my trip!

Actually, we had a nice meeting on X-Ray optics, today at the Australian Synchrotron. My friend V.H. came out from France and presented on bent crystal optics, on and off the Rowland geometry, in Bragg and Laue case, and combinations. To top this, we have included compound refractive lenses, and discussed Fresnel zone plates, but the best answer V.H. gave to the question to combine this with the Z.Zhong monochromato, sagitally anticlastic and azimuthally bent: An Optical Nightmare!

Task fulfilled - found one cache in Victoria! Not my first one in this trip, however, when changing place by such a distance, from Sydney being out here for one night, at least one grab! Like two on Puerto Rico - not being after numbers at all.

Too lazy to go for more tonight; I better head back to blackburn and have dinner at that little chinese on there corner towards there. Scallops with blackburn, ah, blackbean sauce at Yun Yun.

By the way: do you know the blackburn orientation correlation in titanium aluminium intermetallics? Well, the latter consist to a large extend of gamma phase, and to a minor of alpha(2). While the first is almost of fcc structure, the latter is a decorated hcp. Turns out, apart from these decorations, the phase transformation between the two is just a change of stacking sequence, matching the 111 planes of the gamma with the 002 planes of the alpha(2). Crystal lattices show this orientation correlation upon the transformation - which is called blackburn's. Similar like burgers' and potter's in a alpha to beta transformation. all clear?
