ROBYN’S UNITED KINGDOM TRAVEL BUG
There are many places that we are hoping to get
Robbie's Travel Bugs to Visit.
Some she has traveled to and others that she will never, now Forever 28, have the chance to visit.
We wish her TB to
dance her memory across The World.
This Travel Bug is hoping to hitch rides to THE UNITED KINGDOM ~ dancing its way all across all across the countries, with visits in Scotland and Wales, too!
RobynApril (then known as Robyn-April Rivard-Darby) appeared on a 1998 cover of
LINEDANCER Magazine (published by Clare House Southport) along with
Jo Thompson,
John Robinson and Alan Livett. After her death, the March 2009 issue featured an article: REMEMBERING ROBYN. England is a place that Robbie not only loved, but IS Loved.
We'd love for her TB to spend years traveling all around England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales ~ lands near and dear to her heart.
ALso On Our Travel Wish List for all of Robbie's TBs
Fletcher, Vermont to visit the town where her brother lives
Garden Grove, California ~ A place of fond Spiritual Memories
Hawaii ~ Where she visited in 2004 and longed to return to swim with dolphins
Disneyland and Disney World ~ Two of her favorite places on earth
Titusville and Daytona, Florida ~ Places visited with Family and she got to live for a while
Hartford, Connecticut ~ The place of her birth and where she made her first best friend, learned her first line dance
Sedona, Arizona ~ A beautiful place that she has visited in dreams
Great Britain ~ Where she toured in 1998 along with Internationally renowned Line Dancers
Jo Thompson,
John Robinson, Alan Livett
Ireland, Scotland and Wales ~where she longed to go, but never had the chance
Anywhere Near Line Dance Events and Renaissance Fairs
Europe, which was on her Wish List to travel to someday
Canada and France ~ The ancestral homes of her maternal great-grandparents
Portugal ~ Robbie was half Portuguese and half French~ her biological father came from Corgas
Thank you for helping Robyn's Memory Travel Across the World!
ROBYN’S UNITED KINGDOM TRAVEL BUG
Great Britain, actually the entire UK, became a place near and dear to Robbie’s heart. In 1998, RobynApril choreographed the first known internationally renowned line dance to hip hop music: Will Smith's MEN IN BLACK. She named her dance
Dancin' In Black (aka D.I.B.). It became so widely popular that she was invited to tour the UK on Jo Thompson's 1998 LINE DANCE UK TOUR. So, Robbie got her passport, took the last month of her senior year of high school off and hopped on a plane to take her “Across The Pond”. She loved England, forming relationships there that lasted the balance of her too short life. Though Robbie’s earth plane life has ended, it is our hope to get her Travel Bug back to and all across the UK in her memory. It would make her smile to be traveling there again.
This United Kingdom trackable is attached to a laminated card, sharing part of the story of RobynApril Rivard-Darby Maguire, who died tragically, at 28 years old, in 2008.

Found the cache on a freezing cold day. Placed the travelbug in the cache, with an amazing, if somewhat, foggy view - having retrieved it from another cache with an equally nice location. Very sad story and I hope that the TB finds its way to where it wants to go.
Only one comment - mind the barbed wire with this cache!

Dropped today in Worcester town centre cache.
I only hope that whoever picks this up logs it and moves it on correctly...as I've just noticed that TBs seem to fall into a black hole in this cache.
