Happy New Year 2016!
Visiting Berlin, Wisconsin, I left the house this morning at 5:12 am and made my way to the Dade County airport. A good friend (CodeJunkie) of mine stopped by my parents house and provided two nice new trackables (a NJ flag and a WI flag) so I grabbed these and a third traveler to leave at the largest container near the airport in my way home.
I parked the rental car near the largest snow bank and made the 164 yard dash to the cache!
Discovering the cache quickly I soon learned I left all the travel bugs in the car so I signed the log and made the 162 yard dash pack to the car, finding a quicker route for the return.
I then realized it was actually cold out and running dashes without gloves or hats in the middle of a real Wisconsin winter morn will chill your fingers to the bone and your ears to the cartilage no matter what type of antifreeze you were born with in your veins.
I grabbed the three travel bugs in the car and found a quicker route to the cache! Only 160 yards this time. I unscrewed the container, tossed in the travel bugs and realized I had spent more time than planned findings this cache.
I returned to the car following a forth route so it now looks like 4 different people found the cache in the snow. I failed to estimate the total distance back to the car but it was probably around 169 yards.
Total search time: 30 seconds. Total messing around time with the cache: 8 minutes and 27 seconds.
I then tried to exit the parking lot from an alternate drive that was in fact not constructed so, instead, I drove in a big circular as I returned to my original route to the parking.
Upon leaving, I made my way to the nearby airport and let those that needed to know I arrived safely at the airport in One piece.
Thanks for the cache. This log expired by the derailed logs of CodeJunkie.
