This copy of a parking coin was distributed to visitors as a parking pass to be used at conservation areas in Hamilton, Ontario. The parking coin is no longer in circulation and is no longer valid. At one time, visitors would present this coin to gate operators to allow entry to the park. Today most parks have automated gates and require a scan of a membership card or payment receipt. The back of the token has the ‘man and environment’ which is no longer in use. This logo was updated and replaced in 2019. The front of this coin depicts a native bird known as the Black Capped Chickadee, which has now been adopted as the new logo for the HCA.
