Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers are founders of an international organization called F.I.R.S.T Robotics which stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology." Students ages 6-18 build a robot on a team using engineering, science, and technology skills. Robots designed to play a game compete against other robots using the concept of gracious professionalism in which students compete like crazy but also show respect for other teams in the heat of competition.
