My umbrella? This bad boy is staying with me! We've completed the Texas County Challenge and we're continuing into the world beyond!
When I started the Texas County Challenge, I bought an umbrella in my 6th county because it ended up raining (on my birthday no less!) and I wasn't prepared. This umbrella had gone with me to 34 more counties and I decided to take it with me to the 219 counties I had remaining! I had to replace the first umbrella after it visited 114 counties, and the second umbrella after 443 more. The Texas County Challenge (along with Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Washington) is long since done, but there are still a lot more counties in the United States and this (new) old friend is coming with me on my future travels!
