This bug has had a wonderful run, I want to set up some new goals once it has arrived home!
This Travel Bug seeks to find and visit BSA Boy Scouts, Camps, Jamboree's, and Camp Outs. While traveling to Philmont Scout Reservation. Once at Philmont, This bug would love to go on a trek, or at least have its picture taken at the front gate, before returning to Mid- Michigan.

Bug History:
This travel bug was originally the top of a troop flag, which due to the ravages of time, eventually broke off.
Saved for many years, by a Scoutmaster as a memory of good times past. When he past, the piece came into my hands, and I felt the Scouting Spirit , and Goodwill coming from this piece. If you do a good turn, have fun outdoors on a camp out take a digital picture, and include this Travel Bug "Scout Spirit" in your report to this web site. This bugs mission is to spread the Positive aspects of scout spirit where ever it travels.

Where is The Philmont Scout Reservation?
Good Question Its located North of Albuqueque, New Mexico in the Southern end of the Sanger De Cristo Mountain Range Extra Credit If you take this travel bug to the Tooth of time or Baldy Mountain Summit (12,622 ft above Sea Level) Warning Baldy is a (4/4). Any questions come up post them in the log, and they will be responded to.
Bug Owner History:
I'm an Eagle Scout class of 1976, Philmont Treker, and former Camp Counselor (Camp Rotary ~ Clare Michigan), please keep this bug in active circulation, I plan on taking to a camp fire program in 2006. So its timely return to mid-michigan in the Spring of 2006 would be greatly appreciated. Until then feel free to take it on your travels and keep it moving, if you can not for some reason. please post a log here, and I'll make arrangements to jump start its mission.

Picked it up at an event cache where there was a table with about 30 TB's on it I had to grab this one! I was a cub scout in New York (upstate) and then Phoenix. I was a boy Scout in phoenix where I got my Eagle (Troop 145). I now work for New Mexico State Forestry in Santa Fe but we have an office in Ute Park New Mexico located on the property of the Philmont Scout Reservation. I'll give it to the forester up there and see how I can get it into the hands of a cacher. I just joined scouts as a unit commissioner until September when my kid will be a Tiger Cub. I'll have to upload a picture soon.
UPDATE: The TB is on the Philmont property NOW, but I won't be able to place it in a Cache until February 8th PM when I will be there for work. I gave it to a non cacher to hold until my visit. The cache is just outside the camp property about 3 miles from Ute Park. Photo to come soon.

Update 2 I got sick and had to cancel my visit and they just got a snowstorm. I'll have my friend up there place it in a cache as soon as he can to get this back out there.
