Current Goal

This travelbug would like to visit some important places in the history of the Amiga computer:

- Braunschweig, Germany, the european home of the Amiga
- West Chester, Pennsylvania, the place the Amiga was brought to fame and killed
by permanent C= management mistakes
- Santa Clara California, the birthplace of the Amiga Computer
- any other important place in the Amiga history

About This Item

TB: Agnus

The 8375 (aka Agnus) was one of the custom chips that made it possible for the Amiga computer to be the first real multimedia computer system long before this term was even invented...
Beside Agnus, Denise and Paula helped the Amiga to display images in 4096 colours and to play stereo sound.
Thanks to its real multitaksing operating system this and much more could be done at the same time.
This TB should remind you that a couple of highly motivated people can produce something very special with quite limited resources, but a stupid management can ruin everything in no time....
There are several quite good web pages telling the history of the Amiga computer.
A good one for example is here: Amiga history
An other option is the Deathbed vigil video filmed by Dave Hayne on his last working day at Commodore.

Hmmm i think there is no place near which makes sence to your goal.
I only can tell you a nice story i made with an amiga computer.
After school i started my work in a big Grazer engine
research company. There i had a boss which wasn't as well
with computer and so he told me to help him because he can't read from the floppy. So we went to his office to look what's wrong. - I immediately saw what happens.
He gave the floppy reverse into the shaft.
I think he used a hammer 💀

Difficult mission for such a small processor.

Today I found this TB in the Walls of decay cache. I won't be able to bring it to some Amiga related site, but I will leave it somewhere closer to Graz where the chances of it getting further away is bigger.

I never had an Amiga, but when I had my Commodore 64 I wanted to have an Amiga, but I could not afford one then. Later I directly switched to a PC.
