2007 Midwest Geobash Bridge Coin. Dimensions 1.5 inches round; Thickness 3.5mm; Finish Nickel; Enameling Soft Enamel. Trackable and has its own icon. The Midwest Geobash is an annual Mega Event held in the Midwest are of the United States. Started in 2005 as a campout between friends and a chance to share and exchange ideas on Geocaching - it has since grown to a must-do event in the Midwest and beyond. 1000+ cachers and guests from the public are expected to attend the 2007 event being held July 20-22, 2007 in Indiana. Since its inception, the MWGB has had a new bird mascot each year. In 2005 the inaugural bird was the Pink Flamingo, in 2006 it was the Penguin. 2007's mascot is the Duck. Each year a "passing the torch" geocoin is produced to commemorate the official changeover from one mascot to the other and to signal the approach of MWGB. With under 3 months until the event - the torch is now being passed. These coins, unlike the official event coins, are available for purchase first-come, first-served from The Geocoin Store. Users of the MWGB forums and newsletter will probably get a heads up before the world gets notified as a thank you for your ongoing support.
