I'm having some trouble getting rid of Bert. Not sure where to put him next. None of the caches I've found so far have been able to accomodate his size. I'm thinkin' of keeping him till November when I go down to Atlantic City. I'll have to see how I feel. It's gonna be really hard for me to give him up!! But I promise that I will let him go eventually. Just in case anyone was wondering why i'm Hogging him!! ;o)

I've been taking Bert all over NJ, and wanted to log his miles for his trip to Asbury Park this weekend. The container wasn't big enough for Bert to fit in, so he's gonna be with me till I can find one that is suitable for a man of his stature!!

  • Bert Met some Roller girls Took Bert to the Roller Derby Bout in Asbury park. I'm the announcer for the Jersey Shore Roller Girls..so I introduced him to some of them along the way!!
  • North side of Convention Hall Taken around 1030 am on the northern side of Convention Hall..the EVIL side!!
  • Bert w/ empty beach NO one likes to go on the north side beach...it's only like 50 yards to the other side lol you'll see the difference.
  • Wonder Bar As you can see, the Rollergirls will be partying at this bar later on. Bert loved Tillie!
  • The Stone Pony Jealous that Bert got to see the Stone Pony!! We were waiting for Bruce to show up, but it was a bit early for him!!
  • Asbury Pie One of MY favorite quaint eateries in downtown Asbury Park!! DELICIOUS Bread!!
  • Ocean Grove This is the next town over from Asbury. South of Asbury, Ocean Grove is a very cute town to visit. Some antique shops, cafes, nice beach, fishing pier. Bert wanted to stay and fish off of the pier, but we had stuff to do.
  • Convention Hall South/Sunny Side This is the more "popular" side of convention Hall..and the sun hits him MUCH better on this side. Taken about an hour later than the north side one. He looks MUCH happier!!
  • Beach folks go Here This is the popular "gay beach" of Asbury Park. It's a beautiful part of Asbury since they've redone so much of it in the past few years courtesy of the gay community. Thank you!! ;o)

SWEET!!!! I love Gnomes, so I was so Happy to find Bert on my lunch break caching adventure in Roosevelt Park. I live close to a few beaches along the Jersey Shore, so I'll take him with me to Asbury Park this weekend, do a photo shoot, and then send him on his way. I might know a place to stash him next, but I'll have to see if he fits in the container!! Whoooooo Hooooo!!! (I like to take pictures, sooooo.......Just enjoy em)

(Ok, so Bert has become SO popular w/ my crowd of friends, that I've decided to create a FACEBOOK page for him...so we can track him that way too---Yeah, I'm a bit of a NUT...so...that's what you get!! Look for "Bert TheGnome" and add him as a friend, share how you know him, where you got him, etc....we'll see how it goes!!)

  • Bert....I'll take you outta here He needs to be by the beach..so I've extracted him from the woods of Roosevelt park in Edison, New Jersey and will take him to the Shores of Asbury Park this weekend. Hopefully He'll fit in "oranges" if not, I'll have to find another spot for him!! I love Bert...I could keep him FOREVER!!! But I won't!! He must travel ON, and I must live vicariously thru him since I can never go ANYWHERE...lol
