Craig Peter Hutchison (23/08/87 to 5/07/08)

Craig lost his life aged 20 in a swimming accident on Loch Assynt.

He was the dearly loved son and brother of Hugh and Pamela Hutchison and their daughter Carly.

Craig was a warm, clever and popular young man. He was loved by his immediate and wider family group. He also had a circle of close friends and always sought out kindred spirits for his adventurous nature. He loved hill-walking, climbing, camping and fishing. His idea of heaven was to set off for the wilds with a tent and some hastily arranged gear and supplies.

Through this geocache we would be keen for Craig's carabiner to be transported to the sort of adventurous place that Craig would have loved to visit during his life.

We found this cache by accident during a lovely spring walk at Knockan Crag. Assynt is an awesome place, the geology is unique in Scotland. I am really happy to be able to pass on Craigs Carabiner as a fellow lover of the outdoors, I will place it in a special place!
