"Alpine Traveller" begins its journey in North West Mountain Police / Travel Bug Hotel, in Jasper National Park's first (and only) travelbug hotel. It just wants to travel, ... and see the world.

About This Item

"Alpine Traveller" bears the name of the only handi-bus (wheel chair accessible vehicle) in the Jasper area, recently given by the Jasper Seniors Society to the Evergreens Foundation which operates the local Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge. Happy trails!

    Only took 7 months! Finally found a spot to drop this one. Not doing much geocaching during the pandemic, but we chanced some in the woods on another camping trip. Seems like a spot with frequent visitors. On its way!

    Visited 5 caches in Cottonwood Canyon with this TB we’ve had since right before the pandemic. But none of them get found often enough to drop a TB, we thought! Anyway, got it home to the Portland area, and now it’s had a nice summer vacation in one of our favorite state parks. One day we’ll be able to do a more popular geocache and drop it off, hopefully!

    Actually found the bug in this geocache, on the way down from a beautiful afternoon in Waimea Canyon. Got distracted in logging it by three(!) short-eared owls hovering right over our car, as we continued our drive. Crazy! Glad to grab a trackable during our trip to Kauai. Will probably take it back to Oregon with us.
