Current Goal

This is a replica of a $100,000 bill. Its goal is to travel to river banks everywhere. Let's not pass through any financial institutions as that would be tooo confusing.

About This Item

Big Bucks Replacement TB

The $100,000 bill is the largest banknote issued by the United States. It was issued in 1934 and featured a portrait of Woodrow Wilson on the obverse. For the most part, these bills were used by banks and the Federal Government for large financial transactions. This was especially true for gold certificates from 1865 to 1934. However, the introduction of the electronic money system has made large-scale cash transactions obsolete; when combined with concerns about counterfeiting and the use of cash in unlawful activities such as the illegal drug trade, it is unlikely that the U.S. government will re-issue large denomination currency in the near future.

Perhaps there is something interesting hidden in the serial number.

1856 Flying Eagle Cent

Current GOAL: This coin is a replica of an 1856 Flying Eagle Cent. It's mission is to travel about historic areas of the mid 1800's. Not limited to the US. If it makes it to Europe or beyond - so much the better. Include photos if you can.

About this item: The 1856 Eagle cent was a pattern made to demonstrate the look of the new small sized cent that was introduced the following year. The coin was composed of .880 copper and .120 nickel. Its diameter was 19 mm which was considerably smaller than the large cents issued in previous years which had a diameter of 27.5 mm. This replica has a diameter of approx 2 inches and won't be lost in your pocket change!
