Current Goal

This is a replica of a $100,000 bill. Its goal is to travel to river banks everywhere. Let's not pass through any financial institutions as that would be tooo confusing.

About This Item

Big Bucks Replacement TB

The $100,000 bill is the largest banknote issued by the United States. It was issued in 1934 and featured a portrait of Woodrow Wilson on the obverse. For the most part, these bills were used by banks and the Federal Government for large financial transactions. This was especially true for gold certificates from 1865 to 1934. However, the introduction of the electronic money system has made large-scale cash transactions obsolete; when combined with concerns about counterfeiting and the use of cash in unlawful activities such as the illegal drug trade, it is unlikely that the U.S. government will re-issue large denomination currency in the near future.

Perhaps there is something interesting hidden in the serial number.

Gonna take this cent hopefully as far as Atlanta, where a great deal happened on the 19th century, including a big siege and the burning of the city. There's a mint there too isn't there?

  • Cent in front of the 17’th street canal flood gate It’s not from the 1800’s but it is still historical. Cent is sitting in front of the 17’th street canal. This is one of the infamous canals that breeched during hurricane Katrina last year. This particular breech flooded most of the central part of New Orleans. The Army corps of Engineers promised the gates would be ready be the start of the next hurricane season. Well, the season started a couple months ago, and as you can see, they are still not finished.
