To travel to the New Zealand Forces Memorial at Messines Ridge, Messines, Belgium (N50 45.909 E02 53.463), and return to New Zealand, via caches near war memorials and battlefield sites. Pictures of these locations would be most appreciated.
UPDATE
Thanks to "De MC Chouffekes" and others, this TB has reached its destination. Time to head for home to be "Demobbed". Unfortunately this is a journey that thousdands did not make. Appeciate your help in getting this survivor home!!!
Willie Bailey was one of nine children. He left a fiance, in New Zealand, on 26 June 1916. He died of wounds almost a year to the day later, on 7 June 1917 - one of over 40,000 people to lose their lives in the Battle of Messines. He had been at the front barely a week. His grave was lost in later fighting, and his name was recorded on the Messines Ridge Memorial as "Known Only to God"
