    Fire: slept in a bit this morning then headed to the coast to escape the heat and replace one of my caches that went missing. Decided to go for this one. We have just discovered the series avatar:the Last Airbender. Those fire benders aren’t very nice. Are they? Went down the hill to the south of GZ and then came around and made the find pretty quickly. Got some strange looks when I resurfaced.

    Unfortunately, the theme of this cache was timely because today a wildfire broke out in Alpine and it has burned about 2000 acres in 4 hours. Praying everyone stays safe and the animals can escape unharmed.

    City Limits Hwy: Headed Home after a morning trip out to Borrego Springs. It took me about 1.5 hours to get there and 3 hours to get home due to all the stops for caches on the way back hand lunch at Dudleys and a stop at Santa Ysabel’s new visitor center). Today was a great day. I had 9 finds and 3 DNF’s not counting the caches in BS that I couldn’t access.

    Mataguay #1 Revisited Welcome to MSR: Decided to stop and avenge a previous DNF from when I brought my Girl Scout Troop for a weekend of camping here. Today I was on the correct side of the fence and made the find in the first place I looked. It does Need some maintenance with a new log. I didn’t have one to replace it with. Took picture to prove I found it.

    Official Stop #4: After the previous DNF at the last cache, I pulled off here to grab the next one. It took a little doing and there are a lot of pine needles but finally, I was at the correct angle to catch a glimpse of something that didn’t belong and voila!

    I Saw Big Foot in Ranchita and Hid From It!: headed home from Borrego Springs and made a quick stop for a drink and a bathroom break. Of course, I had to grab the cache as well. The Coords were about 20 feet off. Closer to street than building but made the find after a nudge from the store owner.
