Mr. Sherlock grew up in Wisconsin and has been a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers since the Lombardi era. The Green Bay Packers started in 1919 playing teams such as
the Decatur Staleys (who became the Chicago Bears) and the Beloit Fairies (sponsored by Fairbanks Morse). During
the first season the Packers were undefeated until the last game of the season when the referee from Beloit called
three questionable penalties against the Packers giving the Beloit Fairies the win.
The Packers are currently the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States. Packer fans have purchased shares of Packer stock
to fund the team. It is the only team which will never move from its current location because the fans control the team and would never let the team be moved.
When the Packers needed new sod for the field, they sold
1 foot square pieces of the old sod. Thus Packer fans the world over purchased the entire old field which paid for the entire new field replacement. If you are ever in the Green Bay area, you can see small areas of people’s yards with small picket fences protecting their piece of Lambeau field.
Please keep this coin moving so that everyone can enjoy the same feeling that you had when you found it.

Just a note: The Green Bay Packers coin was indeed left with the GC2MDHX cache container (beside, but not actually in the 35mm container). Given the nature of the cache placement, I have seen this successfully done before. Unfortunately it looks like both the coin and cache container were taken : (

This coin is reported as not being in this cache.....BUT the coin is simply too big to have fit in this container in the first place (35mm film canister)....so don't know what's going on here! (R&P)
