About This Item

Letting RK loose!

I found this keychain in a cache, my favorite things to turn into travel bugs... If you have suggestions for a better name let me know!

I released this bug in a very remote location... for now, I'm setting the mission as visiting sites in remote locations.

Please take pictures!

The place we put it is not the most remote spot in the world, but I think it will reach some remote spots after it gets picked up by a local! Happy travels!

Found the bug today in a great little wayside along the Mississippi River. The area just got a blanket of winter's first snow and our two dogs had a blast romping through the woods and snow. We'll take the TB on an adventure and find it a new remote home!

Didn't have a camera with us, but I'll post a pix from the area, so you can see what the spot along the river looks like.

  • Mississippi View This isn't the exact wayside where the TB was, but it's close. This is actually called Maiden Rock. The story is a beautiful Indian maiden was to marry a warrior from a neighboring tribe as arranged by her father. She was in love with another man and didn't want to go through with the arranged marriage. She took her life jumping off of this bluff in defiance of her father--and thus Maiden Rock.

Abi,

Sorry I held on to this keychain so long. Summer was awfully busy and I didn't get much Geocaching done. It should be on its way now, since I dropped it in a wayside cache along the Mississippi today.

Picked up Abi's Random Keychain in a very secluded cache today. Can think of a few back home in Wisconsin which qualify as secluded. Will take this along with me and find it a secluded home to carry the theme. Thanks for the bug!

(just reread and saw the note requesting pictures. Will do)
