wow, this one has been out of action for awhile. I found it today at Hamilton Viewpoint, in West Seattle. When I return to Eugene next week, i will upload some pictures. Here is some history:
The land for Hamilton Viewpoint was purchased in 1914. However, it would not become a public park and viewpoint until 1954, when parking, benches, lawn and plants were developed. In 1957, the park was named to honor Rupert Lehn Hamilton in recognition of his efforts to promote parks and viewpoints in West seattle and his work to develop the community while editor and publisher of the West Seattle Herald.

Went for a New Year's Eve hunt and retrieved it from Wilderness Park. We were on a boating trip and took it by boat out of Liberty Bay and north through Agate Pass, past port Madison to the next bay up on the east side where the ferry lands. Left it at "The Quiet Place" (GC5293). One of our travel party is in 4th grade and is also studying Washington State. This is an exciting project... good luck!
