Old family recipe - Cape Cod Corn Chowder

1 can creamed corn
1 can kernel corn
1 can evaporated milk
about two cups diced potatoes
salt to taste (about 1 tsp)

Drain the kernel corn and put the drained corn water in a pot with the potatoes. Add just enough additional water to cover the potatoes, and boil until firm. Without draining, add the rest of the ingredients and heat over low to medium heat. Adjust the salt carefully; you can't remove it. I sometimes add a diced carrot for color. Garnish with chopped scallion. This is a great meal in itself for a cold day. Please email me when you make this and let me know how it turned out.
