I picked up a TB rescue mission from the Project-GC for Counselor Deanna Troi (TB7KVKW). I didn't know what good I could, but I thought I would poke it any way. I started by making a post to the local Facebook geocaching group. They gave me a lead on [Deleted_User]. With that tip I did some googling. I made a phone call hoping to find a person that would have a clue about Deanna's whereabouts. I got a voicemail. I stepped up and explained my oddball request. I left my real name and phone # hoping to get a call back. It was about 10 am. No call back that day.

    No call the next day.

I began to wonder if I should call again to leave another message. I hoped to at least have a confirmation that it was really gone. Admission they trashed it or handed it another. Maybe that would be a lead I could follow.

I checked in to my volunteer job at Stan Hywet Hall & Garden to man the Discovery Day geocaching table. It is a four hour shift. In the middle, my phone rings. It was the business I called previously. After a short chat it was clear that I was talking to a non-Muggle. They understood what I was looking for, how, and why this trackable was not in circulation. After a few minutes I had secured an agreement to pick up the trackable tomorrow 8/6.

I loaded up my kids and make to 90 minute drive to make the pick up. Along the way OF COURSE we stopped to get some size large caches. Five to be exact. We arrived at the meet up site. I was handed a big shopping bag. What is this? This is what you asked for. I opened the bag and it was jam packed with travel bugs! Like maybe 50. They were all in the cache at the time it was archived.

I was floored. There was more discussion about the mass quantity of TB's. Additionally there was some chat about how the former CO did not want to be viewed in a bad light over the long term storage of the TB's. I made assurances that in fact after leaving the game the fact the TB's were held on to and safeguarded until they could be passed on to a responsible cacher was a blessing to the community. I was told it was a relief when the call came in looking for Deanna. It was always in the back of mind to get this bag handed off, it just never happened.

I feel like I have rescued SO MANY TB's because of this random rescue mission.

I will move this trackable as soon as I find a cache she will fit in.

May your TB Live Long and Prosper.
