Since we had decided to take our hour-long walk in the area in a different direction, mdawaffe and I just tacked this onto the end of our list as we drove home. Although the garden and river center were closed on the weekend, the gate to the lot was open, and the security guard by the building ignored us as we parked near GZ for the find. Thanks for the last cache of the day!

After being foiled on our walk earlier by a pair of muggles and their dogs at the nearby table just feet away from the cache, mdawaffe and I swung by again in the car on our way home. With parking scarce, I waited with the hazards on while mdawaffe hopped out, and luckily the coast was clear for an easy find. Thanks!

mdawaffe and I noticed the hiding spot right away on our geo-walk around the neighborhood and even said something similar to the hint out loud, but when we didn't actually put two and two together, we fruitlessly checked all sorts of nearby spots first. Finally it clicked, though, and we got our hands on the hide. We rescued an inch worm from inside the container, mdawaffe had fun fiddling with some of the swag, and thanks for the cache on a lovely afternoon adventure.

mdawaffe and I included this hide on a geo-walk in the area, and after huffing and puffing our way uphill from Cypress while dodging cars on the narrow roads, we were happy to see that we didn't need to climb the stairs as well! We left that to a motivated muggle repeatedly using the incline for exercise, and the excellent coordinates helped narrowed our search area. Our first idea was right, and after poking a few options, we got our hands on the well-hidden cache. Blends in nicely, and thanks so much for the history, the views, and fun find.

mdawaffe and I were pleased to see this corner of the parking lot quiet as we approached, and the cricket guardian didn't startle us too badly as we made the grab. We popped inside to use the facilities and renew my library card (all California residents eligible, and LAPL has a fantastic ebook collection), and thanks for the series and the find as we work our way through another cluster of Dodgers geo-art on foot to celebrate our back-to-back World Champions!

mdawaffe and I have had to be extra stealthy on previous visits to the area with plenty of muggles coming and going (one of whom accused us of being taggers), but the lot was quiet and empty on our Saturday afternoon walk this time around for an easy find. Thanks!

Darn, a pair of muggles and their dogs were at the nearby table, just feet away from the cache. I probably would have gone for it anyway assuming they would ignore our odd antics, but mdawaffe sensibly convinced me to return with the car and just geo-park while he hopped out later. Thanks for the walk on a nice day.

After a stop at a bakery and the recycling center, mdawaffe and I turned our attention to a geo-walk on another lovely winter SoCal day with highs in the upper 70's. The area was familiar from previous visits, and we waited out some dog walkers and residents on their porch before swooping in for the find. Hope the noise didn't attract attention, and thanks for the series and the find!

Happy New Year! mdawaffe and I were among the first to arrive, and after being stumped by the patio lights, we asked for help and waited in the dark for a bit until a bartender rescued us. At least the SoCal winter 80° daytime temps meant it wasn't cold, and it wasn't crowded at all with no sports ball on the calendar. So they had chariot racing on the televisions?!? It was great to see everyone and catch up on holiday adventures (am I the only one with Christmas decorations still up?) as well as hear about 2026 caching goals, and a very warm welcome to the new faces. Always a fun time, and thanks so much for hosting!

It was a beautifully warm SoCal winter day, and we enjoyed hanging out with the fun crowd as always. I can't believe Yuma is coming up so soon, and we chatted about holidays, Dodgers, and caching adventures. We're now officially regulars since they knew mdawaffe's order, but I am wondering what nefarious thing happened to the 4th bench around our tables that it had been replaced by chairs. It was great to see everyone, and thanks for hosting!
