I first discovered this park over 20 years ago when I was just getting into Geocaching and the park didn't have any established trails to the cache, which was located at the old locks. I had a serious bushwhack to get back to the cache, an ammo box hidden by bspeng, an early cacher who gave up Geocaching not long after I got involved in this excellent sport because he didn't like "lame and stupid" micros that he felt were taking over the Geocaching ecosystem. (I agreed then and feel the same way now, but I still participate and often log snarky comments about the ubiquitous lamp post micros.)
Quick and simple cache. I removed some Geo-garbage (a bottle cap and an empty mini-bottle) and an inappropriate item (a cigarette) and left an elderly buffalo when I signed the log.
