I must have stopped here a few years back but never logged a DNF so I probably got interrupted by a phone call or got irritated by the amazingly busy traffic. For a while, I thought I was closer to Jacksonville, FL than Jacksonville, GA.

Whatever the reason, I didn't find it then, but found it easily today. (Or maybe it was very similar to others of this ilk.)

The log was mush so I didn't bother to signe, but I made a profit on the cache and left an aquarium gemstone for a future cacher next to the container.

I visit the Albany area two or three times a year from my home or office in SC and have multiple routes to choose from. Sometimes I do the quickest route north of Dublin through Hawkinsville and Cordele; other times I prefer the greener routes and I even go the slightly longer southern route via I-95 to GA99 via Waycross because there are more Geocaches that I haven't done along the way. My choice is generally based on whether I plan to use my mobile phone a lot while driving.

Today I believe I missed a turn and ended up going through Lumber City and did this quicky Welcome cache. A neighborhood dog took offense, but the owner called him down on it and I quickly signed the log.

Quick find near the end of my caching day.

It looks like this one's log has seen better days.

After the observation deck cache, I walked right by this one and had to double back.

    Nice, large object.

Visited 2/23/2024 Waterbaron took it to Big Creek Trail 8 - Mirror Pond Georgia - 40.93 miles  Visit Log

I'm not sure why I didn't look here the last time I was in the area.

Today I had an excellent excuse to skip this one, but fortunately the guy in the photo was on the other side of the pond.

I might not have spotted this one without the hint. As it was, I wish I'd been on a fishing trip.

    Great job!

Thanks for replacing this cache. It gave me an excuse to get some exercise.

Visited 2/19/2024 Waterbaron took it to Go AHEAD make my day! Georgia - 12.52 miles  Visit Log

I was glad to see that two caches along the trail had been replaced so I have some fun and get some exercise.

Quick find, but a little too easy to spot.

I recall looking for this one a few years ago and thought I'd found and logged it, but perhaps I didn't since it doesn't show a smiley.

Today I traded a travel bug and signed the log.
