The rocks near the entrance to the canyon had lots of petroglyphs on them, some of them very high up on the rock faces. Here are a few photos.

Today we met up with 2oldfarts and Klemmer for a day of benchmark hunting. Along the way we found five benchmarks that are granite stone pillars, very old and not often seen in this part of the country. We also found a very nice pipe cap benchmark from 1907.
