Ahoy Matey! Help Sam seek out his lost ship the Whydah. While searching, take him on your journey to find treasure. He longs to be back on his ship ...so he would especially like to have his picture taken next to ships/boats, or with bodies of water in the background. Aye...take pictures with him at your ports of call and log your finds ...Says I, CaptWob
Sam Bellamy was a famous pirate that ravaged the seas for Spanish treasure in the early 1700's. Sam, the Pirate Prince was one of the most successful pirates of his day. Unfortunately in 1717, Sam and his ship, the Whydah met their demise during a storm off the coast of Cape Cod.

This is my favorite travel bug ever! I live on the Cape and the museum where I work currently has an exhibit about piracy in New England on display (which of course mentions Sam himself!), so I just had to grab this one. I hope to get him much closer to his ship...

Sam's Bones are now at Gillis Park ... literally a stone's throw from the salt water, so he should enjoy the atmosphere. And slightly closer to Cape Cod, as a land-lubber would travel there at least. Salem is just across the river (if you look sideways). Wishing what's left of him a good voyage!
