To have a picture taken with each of the three Oberon-class submarines remaining in Australia.
This travel bug is in honour of Oberon-class submarines and the submariners who sailed in them. The item itself references the (in)famous Dolphin Code created by Canadian submariners in 1976. 'Dolphin 38' translates to 'Diesel Boats Forever', and brings to mind the fond memories of serving your country under near-claustrophobic conditions hundreds of feet/metres below the surface of the sea.
This TB would like to visit each of the three locations in Australia where an O-Boat museum or monument still exists. At the time of this writing, they are:
HMAS Ovens - Western Australian Maritime Museum - 32° 3.315'S, 115° 44.339'E
HMAS Otway - Holbrook, New South Wales - 35° 43.098'S, 147° 19.021'E
HMAS Onslow - Australian National Maritime Museum - 33° 52.153'S, 151° 11.999'E
